Absolutely superb views, hot breakfast. The staff were absolutely fantastic and provided welcoming service.
-
The accommodation provided essentials for our trip, we loved staff and location. The restaurant was popular, it had special dishes. The pool was very clean and the garden — lovely.
Unfortunately Wi-Fi was very poor.
-
Beds where comfortable and the breakfast was fresh. The stuff did all they can for a brilliant stay. The staff was polite, room was carpeted and well priced. The bar area was lively, I really enjoyed it. Efficient service.
My room had uninspiring view.
-
A real good stay. It was impeccably clean and ACCOMMODATING hotel. I got free upgrade and thoroughly enjoyed it. Friendly reception. Furthermore, free Wi-Fi worked throughout the property.
-
The weather was really warm, had fab stay. There were fine, quirky rooms with a view, extra lighting and a decent wardrobe.
-
prime location, superbly helpful staff and very fresh breakfast. it was nice having hairdryer and flat-screen tv. they made my stay excellent. early check-in was a bonus. a cosy base for one night in sheffield.
-
I liked the details, like staff and location, they were lovely.
Signal was very weak.
-
We think it's a welcome base for staying in Sheffield. The cleaning staff does a fabulous job.
-
Room was stylish and everything was very clean. Bacon and fruit for breakfast were much appreciated. Nothing to complain about, overall value for money.
-
Although a budget hotel, the facilities were very good and it had an excellent location near to the city centre.
-
Excellent value for money - great location - 24 hour secure parking within 50 yards - cost me £6.50 for 24 hours.
I've used Ibis before and will again - they are one of the few budget chains that are dog friendly - however I wish the beds were not rock hard.
-
1. Proximity to Sheffield railway station. (Even closer to the bus interchange although I didn't use buses.) 2. Reasonable tariff for a city centre hotel. 3. Being able to have a full breakfast at 0630 on a Sunday.
1. The area surrounding the hotel is under reconstruction. But, as one of your other commentators has pointed out, if the area were not being redeveloped, it will never be less grim than it is!
-
the room was basic, but comfortable. Shower was spacious and very good working order. Enjoyed breakfast, with plenty of choice, value for money.
Bathroom contained enough towels for one person. Ideally would prefered more towels especially I was sharing with a friend.
-
I especially liked the location which was 5 minutes away from the Crucible, and any possible attraction in the city. Train station is also close (4gbp bu taxi) so probably 15min of walking max. Staff very young, friend;y and useful. Good food ordered at the bar, and good ale served in drought.

I booked the hotel for a bargain online price a few months prior to our stay. We were only staying for one night whilst in Sheffield to watch the snooker! The hotel staff were extremely helpful and answered all my questions/queries very precisely and thoroughly. Although the bed was a little uncomfortable, the overall cleanliness and comfortability of the room for one night was more than satisfactory! Also, the location was perfect!
As I said, the bed was a little uncomfortable but other than that, no complaints!
